Refund policy

Areatecnica SpA · OrthodoxMac · Last updated: 27 August 2026

This policy applies to every purchase, from the first one. It is published in advance so it can be read before buying.

In one sentence

If you bought OrthodoxMac and it does not suit you, write to us within 30 days and we refund you. No explanations, no forms, no conditions.

How to ask

Write to support@orthodoxmac.com with the order number from your purchase e-mail. We reply within two working days.

Payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as merchant of record, so Paddle also issues the refund. The money returns to the same payment method you used. Depending on your bank, it can take five to ten working days to appear on your statement.

You can also request it directly from Paddle, using the link in your purchase e-mail.

Why the policy is this simple

Because you should not need it.

OrthodoxMac can be used for 14 full days with everything unlocked, with no account, no card and no connection to anything. The idea is that you decide with the application in your hands rather than on a promise: by the time you pay, you know exactly what you are buying.

A refund, to us, means something went wrong earlier — the trial did not make something clear, or the application does not do what the page said. That is our problem, not an argument with you. So we do not ask for reasons: we ask as a favour, to fix it, never as a requirement.

What happens to your licence

When the refund is processed, the licence key for that order is invalidated and the application returns to its trial or read-only state, as applicable. It does not close and does not lock your files: it still allows browsing, searching and viewing.

Your rights as a consumer

This policy adds to whatever rights the law gives you. It does not replace them.

If you buy from the European Union or the United Kingdom, consumer law grants you a right of withdrawal for digital content, subject to the conditions and exceptions that law sets out; Paddle handles that process at the point of purchase. If you live elsewhere, the mandatory rules of your country of habitual residence apply.

In every case, if your law gives you something better than these 30 days, your law wins.

If the problem is a bug

You do not need a refund for that. Report it and we fix it:

Fixes are named in each version's release notes, citing the report they close. If you would rather have the refund anyway, it stays available for the 30 days.
